LOCATION

Set on the Côte d’Azur between Nice and Monaco, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat has long been one of the French Riviera’s most exclusive enclaves. The peninsula is known for its grand villas, pine-lined coastal paths and sheltered bays, while the hotel occupies a peaceful position at its southern tip. Surrounded by Mediterranean gardens and overlooking the sea, the setting feels secluded without being remote.

Nice is approximately 30 minutes away by car, Monaco around 25 minutes and Nice Côte d’Azur Airport roughly 40 minutes, depending on traffic. Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild is nearby, while Èze and Villefranche-sur-Mer are both within easy reach. The location makes it simple to explore the Riviera while still returning to a quieter coastal retreat.

THE ROOMS

The hotel offers 72 rooms and suites, alongside three private villas, spread between the historic Heritage Building and Les Terrasses du Cap. Interiors were redesigned by Pierre-Yves Rochon, combining classical French detailing with a soft coastal palette and understated contemporary touches. Many rooms open onto private terraces with views across the Mediterranean, gardens or surrounding peninsula.

The Panoramic Suite is the standout, occupying the top floor of the Heritage Building with uninterrupted Mediterranean views. Designed by Sybille de Margerie, the 85-square-metre suite includes a 90-square-metre private terrace, outdoor hot tub and marble bathroom. For greater privacy, the hotel offers Villa Rose Pierre, a four-bedroom retreat with an infinity pool and private tennis court; the five-bedroom Villa Beauchamp, complete with a separate pavilion and wellness facilities; and the more intimate two-bedroom Villa Clair Soleil, which has a private pool, gym and sea views.

WELLNESS

Wellness centres around the hotel’s garden spa, where indoor facilities are complemented by outdoor treatment cabanas overlooking the surrounding greenery. The spa includes five treatment rooms, a couples’ suite, an indoor pool with a counter-current system and a hydrotherapy circuit with saunas, steam rooms, a sensorial shower, whirlpool and ice fountain.

The Signature Facial, Les Jardin du Cap, uses rose petals from the hotel’s gardens alongside hyaluronic acids and advanced skincare technologies. Floating Awakening combines guided meditation with a dry-floating bed suspended above 600 litres of Epsom salts, followed by a treatment in one of the outdoor cabanas. The wider treatment menu includes therapies by Dr Burgener, Biologique Recherche and Sodashi.

Fitness facilities include indoor and outdoor training spaces, personalised performance coaching and private yoga. Guests can also join guided runs, cycle around the peninsula, follow nearby hiking routes or play on the hotel’s clay tennis court.

DINING

Le Cap
Under the direction of Chef Yoric Tièche, the hotel’s one-MICHELIN-starred restaurant serves modern Provençal and Mediterranean cuisine in an elegant sea-facing dining room and terrace.

Club Dauphin
Positioned beside the seawater infinity pool, this open-air Mediterranean grill specialises in fresh fish, seasonal vegetables and Provençal flavours made for long lunches overlooking the coast.

La Véranda
An informal French Riviera bistro combining Italian and Mediterranean influences, La Véranda serves all-day dining beneath the hotel’s pine trees and across its garden-facing terrace.

Le Bar
A classic meeting place spanning the library, bar and outdoor terrace, serving Champagne cocktails, fine whiskies and aperitifs in a relaxed yet quietly glamorous setting.
