Ibiza’s luxury hotel scene has entered a sharper, more grown-up era. Beyond the beach clubs and late-night reputation, the island now offers some of the Mediterranean’s most compelling stays, from cliffside wellness resorts and countryside fincas to design-led townhouses and sea-facing hideaways.
This Inside List focuses on the hotels that define Ibiza at its most refined, whether you are planning a restorative escape in the north, a sunset-led stay on the west coast or a stylish base close to Ibiza Town. For those pairing the island with a city break, our Inside List: Barcelona is also worth bookmarking for design-forward stays, destination dining and a more urban Mediterranean mood.
Few hotels capture Ibiza’s new luxury mood as convincingly as Six Senses Ibiza. Set into the northern coastline at Cala Xarraca, the resort brings together wellness, sustainability, music and art in one of the island’s most peaceful corners. In 2026, it was shortlisted for Spain’s Leading Lifestyle Hotel at the World Travel Awards, a fitting nod to its more holistic take on island luxury.
Rooms, suites, caves, residences and mansions are designed with natural textures, soft tones and wide sea-facing terraces. The spa is one of the island’s most serious wellness addresses, while Beach Caves adds dining, music and cultural programming with a more social edge. It is polished, but still grounded enough to feel restorative. For a deeper dive, our Inside Look: Six Senses Ibiza explores the hotel in full, covering its design, dining, wellness offering and overall experience.

For a beachfront stay with easy access to Ibiza Town, Nobu Hotel Ibiza Bay is one of the island’s most dependable luxury addresses. Its position on Talamanca Bay places guests close to Marina Botafoch, Dalt Vila and the island’s dining and nightlife circuit. Recent recognition includes a 2025 Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star award and a 2025 Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice ranking among Spain’s best hotels.
The rooms feel fresh and coastal, with blue accents, whitewashed finishes and terraces overlooking the bay or gardens. Nobu is the headline restaurant, bringing its Japanese-Peruvian signatures to the beachfront, while the spa, two pools and boutiques give the resort a polished holiday rhythm. It works especially well for travellers who want comfort, scene and convenience in one place.

At Petunia Ibiza, the view sets the tone. Facing Es Vedrà from Cala Carbó, the Beaumier hotel offers a gentler, more romantic side of the island, with a strong sense of place and an easy southwest-coast rhythm. Its appeal lies in the setting, the scale and the way it makes Ibiza feel quieter without losing its character.
The interiors lean into a relaxed 1970s mood, with white walls, natural fabrics, warm textures and plenty of open-air space. La Mirada rooftop is the standout for sunset, while the rooms and suites feel intimate rather than overly styled. It is one of the best luxury hotels in Ibiza for a slower, view-led escape.

Teranka sits on Formentera, but it earns its place for travellers planning a more considered Balearic escape. Close to Playa Migjorn, it offers pine-framed calm, sea air and a slower rhythm after a few days in Ibiza. It is a strong choice for travellers who want the Ibiza connection with a softer Formentera finish.
Design is calm and tactile, with warm neutrals, handcrafted textures and rooms that feel intentionally pared back. The rooftop, pool, wellness spaces and dining give the hotel a complete retreat feel without making it feel overproduced. Formentera does not need much styling, and Teranka seems to understand that.

High above the north coast, Hacienda Na Xamena remains one of Ibiza’s most dramatic hotel addresses. Officially opened in 1971, it helped shape the island’s early luxury-hotel scene long before Ibiza became a global summer fixture. The location still feels extraordinary, especially for travellers who prefer seclusion over marina-side convenience.
Rooms and suites are bright, whitewashed and designed around the cliffs, sea and horizon. La Posidonia spa is the defining feature, especially the open-air Cascadas Suspendidas hydrotherapy circuit overlooking the Mediterranean. It is not the newest stay on the island, but the setting still does the heavy lifting beautifully.

OKU Ibiza speaks to the current Ibiza traveller: design-conscious, wellness-aware and still interested in a little atmosphere. Near Cala Gració, it sits close to Sant Antoni’s sunset scene while keeping its own mood calmer and more controlled. In 2026, OKU Ibiza was also shortlisted for Spain’s Leading Lifestyle Hotel at the World Travel Awards.
Earthy interiors, low lighting and clean-lined rooms give OKU its signature feel. Guests can choose swim-up rooms, rooftop rooms or a private four-bedroom villa, with days centred around the adults-only pool, spa and wellness programming. Teyo adds a sharper dining edge, bringing Nikkei-style flavours into the evening.

Atzaró Agroturismo Hotel is Ibiza’s countryside fantasy done properly. Set on a centuries-old family estate surrounded by orange groves and gardens, it offers a softer, more rural version of island luxury. The hotel sits on a 300-year-old finca, giving it a depth of character that newer retreats often try to imitate.
Rooms are rustic, refined and deeply connected to the landscape, with local materials, terraces and a strong sense of calm. Wellness is a major part of the experience, with a spa, pool, gardens and longevity-led treatments adding substance to the retreat feel. Food is shaped by the estate’s vegetable garden, giving the hotel a genuine farm-to-table identity.

Montesol Experimental is a strong choice for travellers who want heritage over beachfront resort living. Set on Vara de Rey at the foot of Dalt Vila, the hotel occupies one of Ibiza Town’s most storied buildings and brings a more grown-up city rhythm to the island. It works especially well for travellers who want to stay close to restaurants, boutiques and the Old Town.
Rooms are more compact than Ibiza’s resort suites, but the character, location and atmosphere carry the experience. The Experimental Group has given the hotel a colourful, confident refresh, with a restaurant, cocktail bar and rooftop shaping its social rhythm. Stay here for Old Town access, pre-dinner drinks and a polished city base.
