THE LOCATION
Chateau Denmark is located on the legendary Denmark Street, an area steeped in music history, often referred to as “Tin Pan Alley.” This street has played host to some of the most iconic figures in music, including David Bowie, The Rolling Stones, and The Sex Pistols – all writing and recording here at some point in time.
It’s a cultural hotspot that oozes creativity, and staying here places you in the heart of Soho’s vibrant energy. CHECKING IN
The various rooms and apartments are scattered around Denmark Street. Just a short walk from the reception, we checked into the ‘White Wedding’ suite within the Flitcroft Apartments – positioned opposite St Giles-in-the-Fields Church, named after the architect, Henry Flitcroft.
The décor was a fusion of Gothic elements and modern luxury, creating both an edgy and opulent feel. Leading into the vast room through the entrance hall, your eyes instantly gravitate towards the spinning disco balls (yes it has its own mini dance floor). Other key stand out features included a king size four-poster bed, roll top bath, marble bathroom, fully stocked bar area and a pair of serious speakers (the room is sound proof for those looking to party).

All the finer details were just as impressive, creating a self serving home away from home for those looking for a luxury self-catered experience in the heart of Soho. The team were amazing and super friendly, with the ‘Butler Service’ available whenever required via the Chateau Denmark app – making everything super easy. The room truly embodied the spirit of Chateau Denmark – a nod to rock ‘n’ roll culture with an elevated, luxurious edge.

Later in the evening, we visited the Thirteen Bar, just a few steps from our apartment. The space felt like a modern speakeasy with an atmosphere much like Chateau Denmark, including moody lighting and a playlist that spanned classic rock anthems and contemporary hits. The bar menu was Japanese inspired, offering a wide range of cocktails and light bites.
We opted for a couple of the house specialties, paired with Chicken Gyozas and the Vegan Dragon Rolls (highly recommend). Whether you’re in the area looking for a pre-dinner drink or a late-night cocktail, Thirteen Bar is a must-visit.
