NOBU HOTEL,
MADRID

Nobu makes its highly anticipated arrival in the Spanish capital this September, opening on Calle Alcalá in the historic Las Cortes district between Plaza de Cibeles and Puerta del Sol. The central location places guests within easy reach of Madrid’s galleries, shopping and restaurants, while the hotel itself brings the brand’s distinctive combination of contemporary design, Japanese influence and lifestyle-led luxury to the city. Reservations are already open for stays from 1 September.

The intimate hotel will feature 50 rooms and suites designed by Studio Caramba, with warm woods, organic textiles, deep green accents and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Madrid. CANYON RANCH, AUSTIN TEXAS

Canyon Ranch brings almost five decades of wellness expertise to Texas this October with the opening of an entirely new destination in the Hill Country. Set across more than 600 acres of rolling landscape with 1.5 miles of frontage along Lake Travis, the resort moves beyond the traditional spa-break concept to create an immersive retreat centred around health, performance and long-term wellbeing.

Guests will have access to a destination spa, advanced health and performance facilities and extensive outdoor programming, with stays designed around Canyon Ranch’s integrated approach to physical and mental wellbeing. The scale of the property is a major part of its appeal, allowing the surrounding landscape to become part of the wellness experience. WALDORF ASTORIA, LONDON

One of London’s most recognisable landmarks is entering an entirely new chapter this autumn. Admiralty Arch, the Grade I-listed monument that has framed the entrance to The Mall for more than a century, is being transformed into Waldorf Astoria’s highly anticipated London address. Positioned between Trafalgar Square and Buckingham Palace, the location alone makes this one of the capital’s most significant luxury hotel arrivals in years.

Following an extensive restoration, the landmark will house 114 rooms and suites alongside a spa and two signature restaurants. The project carefully preserves the building’s historic architecture while introducing the polished service and contemporary five-star hospitality associated with Waldorf Astoria. For the first time, travellers will be able to stay inside a building that has played a defining role in London’s architectural landscape, making this much more than another luxury hotel opening.
